The Eagles made what is likely to be their biggest move this week on Tuesday by releasing receiver Mack Hollins.
On Wednesday the Eagles made a minor move by switching players on their practice squad, exchanging safety Chris Johnson for returner and cornerback Tremon Smith.

Smith went to the Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2018 draft and made the NFL All-Rookie team as a return man before his eventual release earlier this season. He spent time with the Green Bay Packers in 2019 prior to his release two days ago on December 2nd.
He has appeared in 22 games, returning 46 kicks for 1186 yards. His career average is a 25.8-yard return.
He has fumbled the ball three times.
While he is listed as a cornerback, he has played just 74 meaningful defensive snaps, 55 of which came in a single game in 2018. The Chiefs lost that game 38-31.
Smith figures to join receiver Marcus Green on the practice squad who also joined the team primarily as a returner.
To create room, safety Chris Johnson, signed just over a week ago, was released.
Johnson was a big player with some intangible skills, but was a project. He could very well be a player the Eagles look to bring back for the 2020 preseason.
