Roy Istvan is leaving Keiser University to take on the role of assistant offensive line coach with the Birds.
Istvan will be the new assistant to Jeff Stoutland, who has made the Eagles offensive line into an elite group and continued to develop mid to low draft picks and under the radar free agent signings into quality starters and depth pieces.
Istvan played football at Southern Connecticut State where Stoutland was his coach. Following his graduation, Istvan began coaching under the Eagles offensive line coach.
Istvan has also spent time at Cornell, Milford Academy, the University of Buffalo and Rhode Island. While at Milford Academy in 2006, Istvan worked with former Eagles star running back LeSean McCoy.
The Eagles have yet to hire anyone to fill the vacancies for the defensive line and wide receiver coaching positions.
