The Eagles have until Saturday, August 31 at 4.p.m. to trim the roster from 90 to 53.

Preseason is a big time for many players attempting to make the roster to prove why they should be one of the players included on the 53-man roster. That time is now complete and those players now await decisions.

Howie Roseman, Doug Pederson, and the rest of the staff have begun to make those decisions.

The first cut, and one that was glaringly obvious if you watched any of the preseason, is CB Jeremiah McKinnon, according to Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

CB Orlando Scandrick has been released according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

The Eagles announced a slew of moves, including the release or waiver of DE Kasim Edebali, DE Eli Harold, LB Hayes Pullard, TE Will Tye, S Trae Elston, S Deiondre’ Hall, CB Ajene Harris, CB Josh Hawkins, QB Cody Kessler, WR Marken Michel, WR DeAndre Thompkins, RB Donnel Pumphrey, G Keegan Render, CB Sojourn Shelton, S Jason Thompson and LB Chris Worley.

Also announced was the waiving of DT Aziz Shittu, who could revert to the team’s IR should he clear waivers, and TE Richard Rodgers’ placement in injured reserve, ending his season.

The roster stands at 65 on Friday night, meaning 12 more players need to go to reach 53. There is reportedly interest in some of the Eagles running backs, so a trade could be coming.
