Many Eagles fans were disappointed when the Eagles failed to sign wide receiver Jeremy Maclin at the conclusion of the 2014-2015 season. Maclin reunited with former Eagles head coach Andy Reid with Kansas City Chiefs on a five-year deal. The Chiefs cut Maclin last week after just two seasons, which led to many Eagles fans hoping for a reunion. However, according to a report Thursday, a reunion will not happen.
John Clark of CSN Philly reports that the Eagles simply do not have a spot for Maclin:
Doug Pederson says Eagles arent interested in Jeremy Maclin now because theyre very happy with WRs they have and what theyre doing pic.twitter.com/TOAPgVFpPw

The Maclin of today is not the Maclin of old, either.
An earlier report had the Eagles among interested teams. The Eagles probably remain very fond of Maclin and in an ideal world would have him around. But finding room for him on the Eagles roster (and payroll) are another matter.
Maclin was the Eagles first round pick in the 2009 NFL draft.
