There is a possibility that the Philadelphia Eagles get lucky in Week 6 if the New York Giants are unable to start their three top receiving threats on Monday night.
Victor Cruz hasn't played at all this season after suffering a torn right patellar tendon against the Eagles in Week 6 of last season.
Also, Odell Beckham Jr. and Rueben Randle sustained hamstring injuries last week in a victory of the San Francisco 49ers. They both had MRIs on Monday.
Eagles defensive coordinator Bill Davis told the media Tuesday that he foresees all three weapons to suit up and catch passes from Eli Manning in prime time on Monday Night Football.
"I think they're all going to play," Davis said. "I really do. I don't think it will effect them. I think they have a lot of guys who know the system well. Everybody's playing well within the system. Now, whether they practice or not, I don't know. We believe that they'll have all hands on deck for us."
In Week 17 of last season, Beckham Jr. exploded for 12 catches for 185 yards and a touchdown reception against Philadelphia.
If he plays, the Eagles will have to be focused on him because of his play-making ability.
"He's a very talented runner and he's getting a lot of yards after the catch," Davis said. "You have to contain that part of it, after he turns you around with his moves. Then his hands are the best on the league. He's getting better as they go. We'll have our hands full with him for awhile."
The Giants won't practice until Thursday, so only time will tell if the Eagles will have to deal with all three Giants receiving threats on Monday night.
