The Eagles had five available spots on the practice squad that could be filled on Sunday. The Eagles filled all five, capped off by the return of wide receiver Paul Turner.
Turner joined cornerback C.J. Smith, linebacker Don Cherry, fullback Andrew Bonnet and center Aaron Neary as the Eagles filled the final spots of the practice squad.
Turner was not initially added to the practice squad, as he was released on Sunday and needed to clear waivers before joining the Eagles again. Turner had a solid preseason and initially made the team upon the announcement of Saturday's final 53-man group. But after the Eagles added receiver Bryce Treggs on Sunday, Turner was released.
Smith, a North Dakota State product, played well throughout the preseason and, like Turner, made the initial 53-man roster before the addition of safety Terrence Brooks. Smith cleared waivers on Monday and joined the practice squad in a place occupied by linebacker Quentin Gause.
Cherry, a Penn State product, also provides depth, particularly at the middle linebacker spot. Cherry was serving as backup middle linebacker after Joe Walker suffered an ACL injury that ended his season.
Bonnet joins the Eagles out of North Dakota State as a former teammate of newly-named starting quarterback Carson Wentz. The 6'3", 250-pound back had just two carries for six yards in his senior season, but had 11 catches for 105 yards and three touchdowns.
Neary was signed as an undrafted by the Denver Broncos after a successful career at Eastern Washington University. The 6'4", 300-pound lineman was a second-team FCS All-American selection in his senior season.
