The Eagles had an open spot on their 53-man roster after waiving tight end Alex Ellis on Tuesday.
The team filled the spot today with cornerback Craig James, who had been On the practice squad for the last week and a half.

James appeared in three games for the Vikings last season.
Alex Ellis, who was released by the team, was unsurprisingly re-signed to the practice squad. His spot was not filled in the interim.
With Craig James being promoted from the squad, the Eagles still have an open spot on their practice squad.
