Najee GoodeEagles linebacker Najee Goode is one of two defensive players who will be unable to suit up against the Lions Sunday.

The Eagles defense will continue to be shorthanded this week against one of the most dominant multi-faceted offenses in the league and certainly on the Birds' schedule.

Starting safety rookie Earl Wolff did not practice all week and is officially listed as out for Sunday's game, as is reserve linebacker Najee Goode

Wolff is still recovering from a yet-to-be officially diagnosed knee injury, though the rookie as termed his ailment as a hyper-extended knee. Goode, meanwhile is fighting through a hamstring injury.

It appears that Wolff likely will not be able to return to action until December 22nd when the Eagles host the Chicago Bears at Lincoln Financial Field after not having practiced since suffering his injury against the Green Bay Packers back on November 10th at Lambeau Field.

Everyone else is expected to be eligible to suit up, including tight end Zach Ertz (shoulder), defensive tackle Bennie Logan (neck), wide receiver Jeff Maehl (concussion) and defensive lineman Damion Sqaure (back).

Maehl returned to practice on Wednesday.

Defensive lineman Clifton Geathers missed his third straight practice Friday for personal reasons but is back with the team and is eligible to play.

Even with Wolff and Goode out along with the players fighting bumps and bruises entering week 14, the Eagles are hands down one of the healthier teams in the NFL
