After the disappointing loss in Dallas, the Eagles are back at it against the final NFC East opponent, the New York Giants.
Again, this is a matchup that takes place on the road to open the season series. With losses in two divisional games already this season, the Eagles desperately need a win.
Here are six players to watch in Sunday's Eagles-Giants matchup.
Jordan Matthews – The Eagles need bigger contributions in the receiving game. Matthews has been the team's best receiver by the numbers this season, but also needs to be the one to step up the receiving game as an example to everyone else. He has been a go-to target for Carson Wentz.
Odell Beckham Jr. – The Eagles need to keep tabs on OBJ all game long and after being torched by the Cowboys offense late in last Sunday's game, this is just another tough task for the Eagles secondary to face.
Jordan Hicks – The second-year linebacker is starting to evolve into a MVP of the defense. Hicks was everywhere in last Sunday's game in Dallas and figures to be a noticeable part of the defense again against another divisional opponent.
Eli Manning – His season has not been great, but hasn't been poor either and he can still easily turn a game in the Giants favor. With multiple weapons on offense, any holes in the Eagles defense are sure to be noticed by Manning and the Giants will definitely be looking to take advantage.
Jalen Mills – This is another test for the rookie, who has been tasked with guarding some of the big names at the receiver position in the NFL. OBJ may be the best he has faced this season. How the rookie handles it will say a lot about his ability to learn at this level.
Landon Collins – The Giants defensive standout has been the second-year safety. Collins leads the team in sacks, has two interceptions and leads the way in tackles as well.
