UPDATE (2:45 p.m.): The Eagles have officially hired Frank Reich as offensive coordinator, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
Within a matter of hours on Tuesday, the Eagles had a defensive coordinator.
Jim Schwartz arrived in Philadelphia on Monday night and by Tuesday afternoon was announced as defensive coordinator after a morning meeting with new head coach Doug Pederson.
A similar process could take place on Wednesday.
Former San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Frank Reich is set to meet with Pederson on Wednesday and, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, if all goes well will be hired as the Eagles offensive coordinator.
Reich spent the last two seasons with the Chargers as offensive coordinator in 2014 and 2015 and was the quarterback coach in San Diego in 2013.
Reich coached for the Indianapolis Colts, holding three different positions including quarterback coach and wide receivers coach from 2008 to 2011 and was the Arizona Cardinals wide receivers coach in 2012.
A graduate of Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon, Pa. and a former quarterback, Reich went on to have a 14-year career in the NFL as a backup quarterback, primarily playing under Buffalo Bills Hall-of-Famer Jim Kelly. In January 1993, Reich led the largest comeback in NFL history, helping the Bills rally from a 35-3 halftime deficit to beat the Houston Oilers in the AFC Wildcard Round.
With Reich likely to be hired as Schwartz was on Tuesday, the move would almost certainly spell the end of Pat Shurmur's Eagles tenure. Shurmur had been a coach under Andy Reid from 1999 to 2008 before rejoining the team as offensive coordinator in 2013. Shurmur acted as interim head coach for the final game of the 2015 season after the firing of Chip Kelly in December.
Shumur has since been requested for an interview as offensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams, where he was previously offensive coordinator in 2009 and 2010.
