Since 2004, the NFL has had the Super Bowl champs open the following season on a Wednesday or Thursday. The Eagles and Falcons will meet in a divisional round playoff rematch that saw Philadelphia hang onto a 15-10 win and eventually advance past the Vikings and Patriots en route to their first Super Bowl Championship in franchise history. The Eagles will likely be holding their pre-game banner raising and ring ceremony prior to their game against Atlanta.
In addition to the London game and the season opener against the Falcons, the Eagles will reportedly visit Tampa Bay on September 16 and play their 2018 NFC Championship opponents, the Minnesota Vikings, in Week 5. In Week 6, they will be on Thursday Night Football once again, this time against their divisional foe in the New York Giants at Giants Stadium according to Manish Mehtah of the New York Daily News. They will host the Giants on Thanksgiving weekend, November 25 at 1:00 p.m., during Week 12 of the season per Brandon Gowton of Bleeding Green Nation
