A few weeks ago, when looking at the Eagles overall linebacker depth, we profiled free agent Stephen Tulloch as a potential fit for the Eagles. That possibility is closer to a reality this Saturday night.
According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Eagles are "in heavy negotiations" with Tulloch and that the team could be adding him soon.
Eagles and former Lions' LB Stephen Tulloch now in "heavy negotiations", per source. Eagles could soon have a new linebacker.

Tulloch played his last five seasons with Detroit, including three seasons under current Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz.
In 67 games with the Lions, Tulloch had 340 tackles, 10 sacks, three forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries and three interceptions. Last season, Tulloch had 74 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 16 games.
Tulloch would join a linebacker crew that appeared somewhat thin on paper, despite having the services of Mychal Kendricks and Jordan Hicks. At the very least, his addition would provide some much-needed depth with some added veteran experience. The 2016 season would be Tulloch's 11th in the NFL.
