The Philadelphia Eagles earned a victory in their first game of the season on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Washington Redskins by a score of 30-17. In the win, they lost cornerback Ronald Darby for at least 4-6 weeks and on Monday, they got some bad news regarding Caleb Sturgis. The Eagles kicker will miss time due to a quad injury in his plant leg.

Last season, Sturgis hit 35 of his 41 attempts and he sailed three field goals through the uprights during Sunday's win against Washington after missing the teams' first extra point. With Sturgis sidelined for a while, the Eagles will hold workouts with a handful of kickers this week.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that one name to keep an eye on is veteran Mike Nugent, who made 23 of 29 field goals for the Bengals in 2016. Meanwhile, Ian Rapoport tweets Bengals practice squad kicker Jake Elliot could be on the Eagles' list for workouts as well in the coming week.
The Eagles visit Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium with kick-off set for 1pm.
