Carson Wentz opened his career with an impressive start and fans across the NFL took notice.
Wentz was named the NFL Rookie of the Week for Week 1, as voted on by the fans.
In his NFL debut, Wentz completed 22 of 37 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions, good for a 59.5 completion percentage and 101.0 passer rating.
The highly-touted rookie and second-overall pick by the Eagles not only put up the numbers, but showed the poise of a veteran in his first game. Wentz performed extremely well against the blitz and under pressure and made perfect passes to Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor for his two touchdowns.
Wentz and the Eagles return to the field for Monday Night Football on Monday against the Chicago Bears.
