Following the acquisition of Genard Avery, Bruce Hector was waived to make room on the active roster.

To no surprise, the team has re-signed him to the practice squad.

Hector had made the Eagles 53-man roster out of training camp last year and was on the roster and active for eight games before he was eventually waived and re-signed to the practice squad.

This preseason, Hector was traded to the Cardinals for safety Rudy Ford, who is, inexplicably, still on the Eagles 53-man roster. Hector was then signed to the practice squad as soon as the Eagles were able to do so.

He appeared eight games in 2018, though played fewer than eight snaps in four of those games. He recorded a partial sack and two assist as the last man off the bench.

Hector recorded just one QB hit against the Bills.

Corner Ajene Harris was released to make room.
