Ian Rapoport of NFL Network has reported that the Eagles have parted ways with defensive end Connor Barwin:

Barwin enjoyed much success as an Eagle in Billy Davis's 3-4 defensive scheme, but was largely inneffective in Jim Schwartz's wide nine defensive front, tallying his lowest tackle and sack totals of his tenure as an Eagle in the 2016-17 season.
The Eagles save $7.75 million for the upcoming season by releasing the veteran pass rusher. This move comes just prior to the open of free agency at 4:00 p.m. today.
The Eagles have long been rumored to seeking a trade partner for Barwin, but ultimately had no takers. Expect Barwin to land with team that runs a 3-4 defense, where he is far more productive.
