On Monday afternoon, Crossing Broad provided photo evidence that Eagles coach Doug Pederson and Executive VP Howie Roseman were on a flight to San Francisco.

As it turns out, Roseman and Pederson weren't heading to the Bay Area to catch a Warriors game or vandalize Chip Kelly's house.
The #Eagles are working out Jared Goff in Berkley today I'm told

California-Berkley product Jared Goff is seen as one of the top two quarterback prospects in the 2016 NFL Draft. Along with Carson Wentz, whom the Eagles have also been linked to, Goff has generated considerable buzz with April's first round drawing closer.
Despite the Eagles seemingly fortifying their quarterback position for the immediate future, there is still considerable speculation that Doug Pederson would like to lock down a young signal-caller to which he can hitch his wagon to beyond the 2016 season. The Eagles are a team that, should they be able to land a quarterback during the draft, can provide him with the security of not having to go into his rookie season as a week one starter. That player could learn from the sidelines during his rookie season and not have to find himself thrust into the spotlight right away.
Another former California quarterback seemed to benefit a great deal from this type of atmosphere. Aaron Rodgers was stuck behind Brett Favre on the depth chart for the early stages of his career. When he did take over as the Green Bay starter, it was as if the Packers did not miss a beat. Rodgers has established himself as a top-five quarterback talent in the league. There's always the chance that a rookie is so impressive that he is able to leapfrog those ahead of him in the depth chart. This was the case with Russell Wilson in Seattle the year after he was drafted in the third round.
The Eagles will likely be attached to most of the big name quarterback prospects in this draft. They are in a position with their first round pick where they can take one of the top-two prospects if either of them fall to them with the 8th pick. Assuming they have Goff and/or Wentz in their top-ten players, this would not be seen as a reach, given the value of a young, cost-controlled franchise quarterback. If both of them are off the board before the Eagles pick at number eight, they will have a better crop of position players in a top-heavy first round to select from.
