The Eagles front office continued to stay busy making moves, even after setting the preliminary 53 man roster.
- Defensive End Darryl Tapp was expected to be on the bubble to make the roster, but took a paycut from his $2.575 salary to stay with the team.
- Philadelphia claimed OT/G Nathan Menkin from the Houston Texans. Menkin, who stands at 6'4", 296 lbs. is an undrafted rookie out of Mary-Hardin Baylor. In order to make room for Menkin, CB Trevard Lindley was waived.
- Reuben Frank of CSN reports that LB Ryan Rau, WR Marvin McNutt, DT Frank Trotter, C Chase Beeler, FB Frank Igwenagu and TE Chase Ford will be signed to the Eagles practice squad. WR Chad Hall will pass on the chance to be on the Eagles practice squad, and will look at other options, his agent says. He spent two seasons with Philadelphia.
- In former Eagles news, G Julian Vandervelde was claimed by Tampa Bay, TE Brett Brackett was picked up by Jacksonville, and LB Keenan Clayton is headed to Oakland.

UPDATE (9:35 PM): Eagles add WR B.J. Cunningham to the practice squad. Cunnningham was a 6th round pick out of Michigan State, and was released by the Miami Dolphins on Friday. For his career at MSU, he caught 218 passes for 3,086 yards and 25 Touchdowns.
