Murray, 25, was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft and was released from the Arizona Cardinals practice on Monday. The University of Georgia graduate hasn't played an NFL snap in the regular season, but had a successful college career with the Bulldogs, completing 62.3 percent of his passes for 141 touchdowns and 41 interceptions. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson and backup quarterback Chase Daniel are both familiar with Murray after spending two seasons together in Kansas City.
Marcus Johnson signed with the Eagles as a rookie free agent this offseason after a four-year college career at Texas, where he totaled 61 catches for 793 yards and four touchdowns.
