Eagles Sign Carlton Agudosi to Futures Contract
By Paul Bowman, Sports Talk Philly Editor
On Monday, while the Eagles fanbase was celebrating a playoff win and praising Teyvon Hester (as they should), the Eagles front office was looking forward to next season.
Just three days after the Eagles signed Marken Michel to a futures contract, the Howie Roseman has signed another wide receiver that they hope will be able to contribute to the team in the 2019 season and beyond. This time, the move was to add Carlton Agudosi.

Agudosi, a Somerset, New Jersey native, played college football at Rutgers from 2012-2016. While he only caught 35 passes for 513 yards, in each of his seasons, he had a different offensive coordinator as well as different wide receiver coaches. Due to this, there isn’t a whole lot of evidence to show what he can do when he is in a consistent situation and system.
Agudosi joined the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent after the 2017 draft. He was cut during the roster cut downs, and bounced back and forth between the practice squad and the active roster for the entire 2017 season. He returned to training camp with the Cardinals this offseason, but, after appearing in two preseason games and registering no catches, was cut and was out of the league this season. In the 2017 preseason, he made four catches for 52 yards in four games.
While Agudosi does not seem as promising as Michel does, he has not gotten much of a chance to prove himself at any level beyond high school. Eagles fans should hope that both players are able to make a positive impact with the team.
