As the second week of OTAs is about to begin, the Eagles have added one player and dropped another.
The Eagles have signed defensive tackle Derrick Lott and released punter Ryan Quigley.
Lott, 25, was an undrafted free agent from the 2015 NFL Draft, signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2015 season. He spent the year on the practice squad. Lott also briefly spent time with the Tennessee Titans.
Lott is a 6'4", 303-pound lineman who played for Chattanooga for three seasons. In 29 career games, he posted 20 tackles for loss, eight sacks and 115 tackles.
To make room for Lott on the roster, the Eagles released punter Ryan Quigley. Quigley was signed by the Eagles last month, but had an unrealistic chance of making the final roster with Donnie Jones still holding a firm grasp on the punter position. Quigley has played for the Chicago Bears and New York Jets in his career.
OTAs are scheduled to take place this week at NovaCare Complex from Tuesday, May 24 to Thursday, May 26.
