With veteran linebacker Paul Worrilow, who signed with the team last offseason and re-signed earlier this offseason, continuing to deal with knee issues and the potential that he might never play in an NFL game again, the Eagles moved on from the veteran last weekend.
The team filled his spot with another linebacker on Monday morning, bringing in second-year man Chris Worley.

Worley, an Ohio State product, is entering his second year in the NFL.
After signing with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent last season, he ended up on the teams practice squad for most of the season before being activated for the final two games of the season where he recorded two tackles.
He re-signed with the Bengals, but was waived in late July. He signed with the Seahawks, but was in their camp for only about a week prior to being waived by Seattle.
Worley would seem to be in a poor position with his chances of cracking the Eagles roster despite it being perhaps the Eagles weakest position. While only Nigel Bradham and Kamu Grugier-Hill seem to have a position locked down, Zach Brown may be as close to a lock as he can get without being locked while undrafted rookie TJ Edwards and CFL star Alex Singleton have looked impressive in the preseason games so far while Worley has just two weeks to prove that he could be a better option that any of those three as well as the struggling LJ Fort.
Worley’s best shot might be to aim for the Eagles practice squad and hope to work his way up to the 53-man roster when he has a better understanding of the defense.
