Eagles Sign WR Robert Davis To Practice Squad
By Paul Bowman, Sports Talk Philly Editor
Not a week goes by without the Eagles trying to improve and Howie Roseman hopes they did just that with a minor signing Monday.
On Monday afternoon, the Eagles signed receiver Robert Davis to the practice squad.

Davis was a sixth-round pick of the Redskins in the 2017 draft. He spent most of 2017 on the practice squad and the 2018 season on injured reserve. He was with the Redskins for most of the 2019 season until he was waived on October 1.
In three games this season he has just one catch for 11 yards.
It is a bit of an odd move as the signing leaves the Eagles with three receivers on the practice squad (Greg Ward and Marcus Green being the other two), which is more than you’d typically allot to a single position.
The move also leaves no space on the squad for tight end Alex Ellis, who has bounced between the practice squad and 53-man roster all season and is currently without a job.
This move probably indicates that the Eagles intend to move on from Ellis or one of their cornerbacks (likely Ryan Lewis) as they feel confident in at least one of their injured corners returning.
