The Eagles have added yet another safety to the competition.
On Wednesday, the team signed Trae Elston to a deal to compete with Tre Sullivan, Blake Countess, Andrew Sendejo, Godwin Igwebuike and some undrafted free agents for the third and fourth safety position on the roster.
To create room for him, the Eagles released linebacker B.J. Bello.

Bello was on the 2018 Eagles practice squad and spent the final few games as a game-day inactive on the 53-man roster.
Elston has appeared in 14 games in the league, including one week for the Eagles in 2017. Of course his time was limited to special teams and he was cut shortly after. He then played 13 games for the Buffalo Bills to end the season.
He recorded an interception with the Bills to go along with 15 tackles, five quarterback hits and a defensed pass.
He has previously spent time with the Browns, Dolphins, Buccaneers and Saints in addition to the Eagles and Bills.
Tre Sullivan, Blake Countess and Andrew Sendejo would appear to be the favorites for the two spots right now.
