The Eagles introduced linebacker Paul Worrilow on Wednesday afternoon, but the event did not stop the front office from continuing to add depth to the the team's roster.
Ian Rappoport of NFL Network reports that the Eagles have agreed to a one-year contract with former Green Bay Packers tight end Richard Rodgers:
#Packers free agent TE Richard Rodgers is signing a 1-year deal with the #Eagles, source said. He goes to a place that uses the TE as much as anyone to reboot his career. He hopes to recreate the success from 2015, when he had 8 TDs.

Before the move Zach Ertz was the only tight end on the Eagles roster after Trey Burton cashed in with the Chicago Bears for a well-deserved four-year contract and the team cut fan favorite and at-the-time longest tenured athlete in Philadelphia Brent Celek.
Rodgers is a capable receiving tight end and will step into the role vacated by Burton.
The 26-year old 2014 third-round pick from the University of California broke onto the scene in his sophomore season with eight touchdown receptions. Aside from the 2015 season Rodgers has struggled to make a consistent impact in the NFL.
Rodgers only caught 12 passes despite playing in 15 games for the Packers last season. Over his four-year career Rodgers has caught 120 passes for 1,116 yards, and 13 touchdowns.
Rodgers matches the trend of the Eagles other offseason additions that gives the team a veteran on a cheap short term contract.
