The Eagles began the season with Jalen Mills on the PUP list and Cre’Von LeBlanc was placed on injured reserve at the start of the season.
Following the Lions game, it was announced that the Eagles already thin cornerback room took another hit with Ronald Darby missing at least a month.
The Eagles didn’t have better luck in Green Bay as they lost Sidney Jones in the first half and Andrew Sendejo had Avonte Maddox stretchered off the field. Maddox was sent to a hospital, but released adn traveled back to Philadelphia for further testing with a concussion and neck injury.
Add all that up and the Eagles are left with just Rasul Douglas from the initial 53-man roster. The only other active corner is Craig James, who has been promoted from the practice squad twice in four games, including before the Green Bay game.
A move has to be made and, as hard as Howie Roseman might try, the Jaguars are not keen to trade disgruntled cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
In the meantime, the Eagles are reportedly re-signing Orlando Scandrick, who was with the team in training camp and knows the system, to give the Eagles another healthy body for the Jets game and however long is needed, according to Mike Garaffalo of the NFL Network.

Over 10 seasons and 140 games, Scandrick has accumulated 443 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 76 defensed passes, nine interceptions, eight forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
The Eagles will hope that Scandrick has something left in the tank and can work out as well as the signing of Patrick Robinson did two seasons ago.
UPDATE: The Eagles have made the signing official and have released LJ Fort to make room.

The release of Fort means that the Eagles should receive an additional 2020 fourth-round pick as compensation. They could receive another fourth-rounder if they were to release Andrew Sendejo before week 10, though that is highly unlikely.
Fort played exactly 0 defensive snaps for the team and made $1.9 million.
