As the Philadelphia Eagles enter their biggest test of the young 2016 season, the team announced they will wear their midnight green jerseys this Sunday when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The 2-0 Eagles wore their midnight green jerseys in their season-opening win over the Cleveland Browns at Lincoln Financial Field. This past Monday, when they defeated the Chicago Bears, they wore their white jerseys with green pants.
Since the Eagles are the home team, they decided which color jerseys to wear this week, and therefore dictated which color the Steelers will wear. While the Eagles traditionally wear their midnight green jerseys at home and their white jerseys on the road, it's interesting that they didn't elect to wear their white jerseys this week. Though it's a 4:25 start time, temperatures will still be around 75 at kickoff, so white jerseys would have been cooler than the dark green midnight jerseys. Wearing the white jerseys probably would have forced the Steelers to wear their black jerseys, which of course are hotter than the white jerseys they will now likely wear.
In any event, the midnight green jerseys are more popular than the white jerseys and the Eagles won in Week 1 when they wore the midnight green jerseys, so this isn't especially surprising.
