The Philadelphia Eagles announced Wednesday that they had filled out their practice squad after releasing safety Trenton Robinson Tuesday.
Robinson spent the last two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers after starring at Michigan State. The Niners used a sixth round draft choice in 2012 on the 23-year old. He played three games for San Francisco last season before being released and later picked up by the Eagles.
On Wednesday the team announced that they had replaced Robinson with rookie cornerback Marcus Burley. Burley was previously with the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice suad and played college ball at the University of Delaware where he appeared in 48 games and made 33 starts.
Burley, 23, is a 5'10, 185-pound speedster who posted a 4.35 40-yard dash but played in just 21 snaps for the Jaguars in the preseason.
