After two games of lackluster play, the Eagles return to the field to welcome a familiar face back to Lincoln Financial Field.
Sam Bradford, who was traded by the Eagles eight days before the season opener, makes his return as the starting quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, who come into Sunday's game undefeated.
Here are six players to watch in Sunday's Eagles-Vikings game.
Sam Bradford – It's obvious that we begin with the former Eagles quarterback. Bradford still does nothing overly flashy, but he's been extremely efficient. Bradford has been rejuvenated by the trade and should be even more motivated playing against his former team that moved him to bring a rookie into the starting role.
Carson Wentz – If Bradford is at the top of this list, then Wentz is right behind him. The rookie looked as uncomfortable as ever in last Sunday's game against Washington behind a shaky starting offensive line. Facing a two-game losing streak, let's see how the rookie responds against his mentor during training camp.
Fletcher Cox – It's been a disappointing two weeks for the Eagles defensive line force. As a whole, the defensive line struggled to get pressure to the quarterback and Cox took two critical penalties that extended drives and led to touchdowns. Needing a bounce-back game, look for No. 91 to do everything possible to disrupt his former teammate.
Vikings Defense – There's no reason to pick one player when the entire defense has been so effective. The Minnesota defense has accounted for 19 sacks, seven interceptions, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries in five games. Those are numbers in another stratosphere. This is easily the toughest test the Eagles have faced this season, and given the last two weeks, it isn't even close to being in their favor.
Dorial Green-Beckham – The Eagles have been vowing to get 'DGB' more involved over the last few weeks. They said it again this week. Let's see if the actions can speak louder than the words. The Eagles have a receiver with size who has proven in a small sampling that he can get separation. The Eagles need to put that to use this week.
Stefon Diggs – The Vikings leading wide receiver has 25 catches and 372 yards through five games as well as one touchdown through five games. Bradford has done a nice job of spreading the ball around, but Diggs is the clear focal point of the receiving game. Keep an eye on him throughout the game as well.
