Two weeks ago, the Philadelphia Eagles-Minnesota Vikings Week 7 matchup looked like it had a chance to be a more than just Sam Bradford's return to Philadelphia. Coming off of a Week 4 bye, the 3-0 Eagles seemingly had two very winnable games against the Detroit Lions and the Washington Redskins, which could set them up to potentially square off with an also undefeated Vikings team off their bye.
The Vikings defeated the Houston Texans in Week 5, meaning that after a Week 6 bye, Bradford and company are traveling to Philadelphia with an undefeated 5-0 record. The Eagles, on the other hand, have come back down to earth after an early bye, suffering back-to-back losses to two teams that seemed like fairly easy wins just a couple weeks ago.
Make no mistake, though, Sunday's game still has great implications on the NFC playoff picture. The Vikings are undefeated, so they are currently sitting on the No. 1 seed in the conference. The Eagles, now 3-2, are sitting in third place in a crowded division, but could become players in both the divisional race and conference race overall starting with a win this week.
