The Eagles made their first of a series of cuts in order to get down to their 53 man roster. On Saturday they announced they had waived 10 players:

- CB Wade Bonner
- DE Xavier Brown
- WR McKay Jacobson
- WR Tiger Jones
- G Alfred McCullough
- S Tom Nelson
- CB Kevin Thomas
- OT Thomas Welch
No surprises here. Philadelphia must get down to 75 players by Monday, and their final 53 man roster by Friday.
UPDATE: Philadelphia releases CB Cliff Harris, WR Jamel Hamler, and place OT Jason Peters and DT Mike Patterson on the Phyiscally Unable to Perform list. G Mike Gibson was also placed on the IR with a hip flexor.
