With Jalen Mills eligible to return to from the PUP list this week and the plan for him to begin practicing this week, the Eagles have made a roster move.

On Monday, the team released corner Ryan Lewis.

The reason for the move has not been announced as officially to create a spot for Mills, but that is the most likely scenario.

Lewis didn’t play defense for the Eagles and managed to help the Eagles muff a punt and get a penalty while on his limited special teams reps.

Lewis would figure to be back on the practice squad soon, but the team also added running back De’Angelo Henderson to fill the spot vacated by Boston Scott’s promotion last week.

Henderson, a sixth-round pick in the 2017 draft, has spent time with the Broncos, Jets and Vikings.

Henderson has appeared in eight NFL contests and has nine carries for 32 as well as two receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown.

He was also a member of the “Team That Wouldn’t Be Here” from 2018.
