Eagles working to round out Doug Pederson’s coaching staff

UPDATE (11:34 a.m.): The Eagles have officially confirmed John DeFilippo as quarterback coach.

The Eagles coaching staff is nearly complete.

With the hiring of Doug Pederson made official on Monday and his introduction on Tuesday, it didn't take long for the Eagles to fill out a coaching staff around Pederson.

Pederson announced himself on Tuesday that Jim Schwartz was hired as defensive coordinator and that special teams coordinator Dave Fipp and offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland would be retained.

The Eagles also retained running back coach Duce Staley, tight ends coach Justin Peelle and defensive back coach Cory Undlin

The Eagles made the hiring of Frank Reich as offensive coordinator official on Wednesday and added several new names to the coaching staff.

Here is a list of the rest of the positional coaches.

  • John DeFilippo - quarterback coach
  • Eugene Chung – assistant offensive line/tight end/run game coach
  • Greg Lewis – wide receivers coach
  • Press Taylor – quality control coach/assistant quarterback coach
  • Ken Flajole – linebackers coach
  • Tim Hauck – safeties coach
  • Phillip Daniels – defensive quality control/assistant defensive line coach
  • Dino Vasso – defensive quality control/assistant secondary coach
  • Matthew Harper – assistant special teams coach

The Eagles have not yet hired a defensive line coach.
