Shortly after the Los Angeles Lakers selected UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball, his father, LaVar, gave a provocative follow-up interview about his son. LaVar has caused controversy wherever he's gone over the past year and some Sixers players are itching to get a crack at his son on the court.
Ben Simmons tweeted this, which presumably was about LaVar, and not the amount of talent that the Sixers have amassed:
Crazy pills

Joel Embiid, who will find out if he won Rookie of the Year next week, took things a step further:
Please dunk on him so hard that his daddy runs on the court to save him.. https://t.co/cMvt5RYiSQ

It's safe to say those two are about as ready for the season to start as the rest of us are. There's been a bit of a rivalry brewing over the past few seasons between the Sixers and Lakers, and these tweets, along with the two teams both taking point guards in the draft, should make it a little more interesting.
