Excitement is building as the Philadelphia 76ers get ready to open up their 2017-18 season on Wednesday night in Washington against the Wizards. There are a ton of important headlines heading into the opener, whether it be Fultz's role off the bench or Ben Simmons' phenomenal court vision, but one new story has arisen and it's a good one.
Joel Embiid showed up at practice on Tuesday honoring Sixers legend Allen Iverson in the form of his famous cornrow hairstyle. I was hesitant at first when the news broke, but when a picture surfaced…well, it's and endless repeat of the flame emoji.

Embiid will likely get the start tomorrow night at center for the Sixers, but Brett Brown signaled towards Joel's minutes restriction being "in the teens" when speaking with reporters on Monday. Speaking of Brett Brown, he also had a new look on Tuesday, sporting the clean shave for the first time in a while. Shame…beard Brett was great.
