Philadelphia: The push for March Madness keeps going on & for the Villanova Wildcats they were looking to end a 2 game losing streak as they went to battle with number 16 Marquette on Friday Night at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia.  This is a game that Villanova needs to get back on track to keep whatever potential postseason play in the conservation.

Lineup:

How the game went:
In the first half, Villanova would come out and jump on Marquette for an 8-0 lead before the Golden Eagles would even get on the board, At this point of the game, Marquette would look lost and the Crowd inside Wells Fargo Center was enjoying what they were seeing. Villanova Jhamir Brickus would put on a sick crossover like how Sixers Great Allen Iverson used to do &  everything was rolling for the Wildcats

At one point, Villanova would have the lead up to 19 at 34-15 with 6:36 left & everything was going wrong for Marquette. The Golden Eagles would attempt to cut into the lead but would make a very stupid play as they would foul Villanova Eric Dixon from 3 point range which connects & then made the Foul shot and sucked whatever momentum the Golden Eagles have

The Wildcats would take a 46-33 lead into the half, this was one of Villanova’s more impressive first halves this season which saw them connect on 12 three-pointers & going into the second half, what could Marquette do to get back into the game & make things challenging for the Wildcats as Villanova struggled to finish off their last 2 games which resulted in losses.

The Golden Eagles would get the lead down to 10 and then the Wildcats countered whatever Marquette was showing and got the lead up to 23 at 66-43 with 10:58 left.  For the rest of the game, the Wildcats kept the pressure on and the Golden Eagles would make very costly mistakes and the Party would get going in South Philly as Villanova would upset Number 16 Marquette 81-66, This would be the 4th time this season that Villanova has upset a ranked team at home, 1st one at Wells Fargo Center this season, the previous 3 were at Finneran Pavilion.

Jordann Dumont would bring some spark off the Villanova bench with 15 points including going 4-4 from 3-point range.
