Eagles offensive guard Evan Mathis has earned a spot in the Pro Bowl after originally being chosen as an alternate.
Evan Mathis will be joining Eagles teammates LeSean McCoy and Nick Foles at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii after all.
Mathis, originally chosen as a second-alternate in the fist Pro Bowl that will be 'Unconferenced' meaning that the rosters will be chosen via a fantasy draft between Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice.
An integral part of the Eagles offensive success, as part of an offensive line that started all 16 games this season in-tact, a far cry from the injury riddled unit of 2012, Mathis will be making his first trip to the NFL's annual all-star game.
The Pro Bowl isn't the only honor for Mathis, who this week was named to the PFWA All-NFL team and previously was elected an All-Pro.
