As the Flyers prepare to embark on their 50th season in franchise history, another franchise staple celebrates an anniversary as well.
The Flyers Wives Carnival, held in the memory of Barry Ashbee and a fundraiser for various charities around the Philadelphia area, marks its 40th anniversary on Nov. 6, 2016.
Tickets are on sale now for admission with other pre-sale events going on sale at a later date.
Among the highlights of this year's carnival are the return of the Ferris wheel and carousel as well as interactive games and booths for fans of all ages. Autographs and photographs also return, as do the shot on goal.
Tickets for autograph/photo combo booths will be available for pre-sale. Players expected to be available are Claude Giroux, Jake Voracek, Shayne Gostisbehere and Wayne Simmonds.
