It's not exactly the most lavish or prolific trade, but the Flyers on Saturday completed their first deal of the season.
Forward Petr Straka will be sent to New Jersey, for a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2017 or 2018 NHL draft.
The #Flyers have acquired a conditional 7th round pick in either 2017 or 2018 NHL Draft from New Jersey in exchange for forward Petr Straka.

Straka, 24, was in the midst of his fourth professional season, and will report to the American League's Albany Devils. He set career-highs in goals (19) and points (37) last season, and scored 42 goals and 88 points as a Phantom.
Straka appeared in three games as a Flyer in the 2014-15 season, registering two assists and a plus-1 rating. He also signed a one-year deal with the organization this past offseason.
Perhaps the most perplexing part of the deal is the return — not only is Ron Hextall's youth push well-documented, but a prospect as touted as Straka was sure to yield a slightly bigger return, though considering he appeared in no games this season, the Devils wouldn't be offering too much anyway. Either way, an additional late-rounder wouldn't hurt.
