The Flyers completed a weekend sweep on Sunday with a 6-3 win against the Washington Capitals, but did so without their full forward unit. Michael Raffl left the game after the second period and did not return.
The Flyers announced on Monday that Raffl will be out for two weeks with an upper-body injury.
Raffl played just eight shifts and logged 6:40 of ice time in Sunday's game. Raffl has 11 goals and 19 points and had played in all 73 games for the team prior to the injury.
The two-week timeline likely means Raffl will be out for the remainder of the regular season.
The Flyers will likely bring a veteran forward back into the lineup to replace Raffl. Jordan Weal was added back into the lineup for Jori Lehtera over the weekend, so Lehtera could be back in Raffl's absence. The Flyers also sat Dale Weise and Taylor Leier as healthy scratches at forward on Sunday.
The Flyers are back in action on Tuesday night against the Detroit Red Wings at 7:30 p.m.
