On Wednesday, the NHL announced the home openers for all 31 teams, and we learned of four games on the Flyers 82-game schedule for the 2017-18 season.
The Flyers will open the season against the San Jose Sharks on Oct. 4, have stops on the road in Los Angeles and Nashville and open at home on Oct. 14 against the Washington Capitals.
The rest of the schedule was released on Thursday afternoon. You can view the entire schedule here, but here are a few of the notable games.
Oct. 19 vs. Nashville Predators – The defending Western Conference champions make their visit to Philadelphia just over a week after their home opener against the Flyers in Nashville.
Nov. 27 at Pittsburgh Penguins – The first game against the back-to-back champions comes in Pittsburgh at the end of November.
Jan. 2 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins – The first visit from the Penguins comes right after the start of 2018.
Jan. 13 at New Jersey Devils – You will have to wait until January for the potential first meeting between the first overall pick and second overall pick. The two teams would meet again a week later in Philadelphia.
Feb. 11 at Vegas Golden Knights – The Flyers first game against the newest NHL team comes in February.
March 12 vs. Vegas Golden Knights – Vegas makes their first appearance at Wells Fargo Center a month later.
April 7 vs. New York Rangers – The Flyers final game of the regular season comes on home ice against the Rangers. Remember the last regular-season finale against the Rangers?
