The Flyers announced the home opener for the 2017-18 season on Wednesday afternoon.
The Orange and Black will open their home schedule at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, October 14 against the Washington Capitals at 7 p.m.
All 31 teams announced their home openers on Wednesday and the Flyers will be participating in three other home openers.
The Flyers will face the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday, Oct. 4 to open the season. They will then face the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, Oct. 5. The Flyers will also be in Nashville on Tuesday, Oct. 10 for the Predators home opener. There is also a rumor that Anaheim is part of the Flyers west coast trip to open the season, presumably either Saturday Oct. 7 or Sunday, Oct. 8.
The rest of the 2017-18 schedule will be released on Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m.
