Due to the inclement weather and state of emergency in Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Flyers game against the Carolina Hurricanes has been postponed.

As of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, the Hurricanes and Flyers, in lengthy discussions and tireless work with the NHL, have adjusted the schedule so the game will be played tomorrow night, Wednesday, at 6 p.m.

It was reported the Flyers wanted to postpone the game but the Hurricanes, who already had one game postponed this season, were already in town and wanted to get the game in.

Per Jack McCafferty of the Delco Times, the Hurricanes were looking to have the game rescheduled for before the Winter Olympic break and before March.

If the game were simply moved to Wednesday, it would violate NHL's policy of three games in three days.
