It wasn't a pretty win, but perhaps Nolan Patrick's late goal in Anaheim is the spark the Flyers need.

A 3-2 win in Anaheim snapped the three-game losing streak with the Flyers beating a Ducks team with a lot of players out of the lineup and riding a losing streak.

The Los Angeles Kings are in a similar position. Until Sunday's late game-winning goal by Alec Martinez, the Kings were riding a six-game losing streak. The 5-7-0 Flyers come into Los Angeles to face the 3-7-1 Kings.

Game time is at 10:30 p.m.

The Flyers captain factored into two goals on Tuesday night with assists on Sean Couturier's power-play goals and Ivan Provorov's first goal of the season. If anyone can take the message about needing a spark and try to action, it's Claude Giroux.

Ilya Kovalchuk leads the Kings in scoring with eight points, and can be lethal on the power play, despite LA's ranking of 28th on the power play so far this season. The Flyers need to remain disciplined to keep Kovalchuk and teammates Anze Kopitar, Drew Doughty and Jeff Carter off the ice with the man advantage.

Goalie Matchup

The Flyers have not announced a goalie for Thursday's game, though it seemed like a place for Michal Neuvirth to get a start. Expect Brian Elliott to go as the team's No. 1, but nothing is certain at this point. Elliott did have a solid game in Anaheim in the win on Tuesday.

With Jonathan Quick out of the lineup long-term, the Kings will stick with Jack Campbell in net. Campbell has already made seven starts this season in Quick's absence. This is his first career game against the Flyers.
