By Kevin Durso, Sports Talk Philly editor Flyers Notes: Stadium Series Jerseys Unveiled, Hart Receives NHL Honor

The Flyers are riding high after a sixth straight win on Thursday night in Boston that ended January with a 7-5-1 record.

As the calendar turns to February, there is certainly going to be a lot of talk on the direction of the team moving forward as difficult decisions are made with the trade deadline approaching. The Stadium Series game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Lincoln Financial Field is another key date in February, and after a long wait, the jerseys for the outdoor game were finally unveiled.

The logo was released a few weeks back in a teaser video. Jerseys will be available for fans through the NHL website and at Fan Zone locations at Wells Fargo Center.

The Stadium Series game between the Flyers and Penguins is set for Saturday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m.

Hart Named NHL Rookie of the Month

Carter Hart was in goal for Thursday's win, his fifth straight. Hart made nine starts in January and allowed more than three goals only once.

Hart was honored as the NHL's Rookie of the Month for January, with a 6-2-1 record, 2.33 GAA and .931 save percentage in the last nine games.

Game SV SA GA Result
Jan. 5 vs. Calgary 29 32 3 3-2 OTL
Jan. 7 vs. St. Louis 34 36 2 3-0 L
Jan. 10 vs. Dallas 37 38 1 2-1 W
Jan. 12 at New Jersey 23 26 3 3-2 L
Jan. 14 vs. Minnesota 34 38 4 7-4 W
Jan. 16 vs. Boston 39 42 3 4-3 W
Jan. 19 at Montreal 33 35 2 5-2 W
Jan. 28 vs. Winnipeg 31 32 1 3-1 W
Jan. 31 at Boston 23 25 2 3-2 W (OT)

Of the nine games, there were only two where Hart did not see at least 30 shots. The win in Boston on Thursday was actually only the second of Hart's eight wins where he did not make at least 30 saves.

Obviously, Hart's start in the NHL is nothing short of spectacular, and it's turning heads around the league. This honor is just another example of that.

Hart could make his eighth start in nine games for the Flyers when they host Edmonton on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
