The NHL on Wednesday announced home openers for all 30 clubs, in advance of tonight's NHL Awards in Las Vegas.
The Flyers will take Wells Fargo Center ice for the first time on Oct. 12, as they play host to the Florida Panthers. That game will actually be the second game in a back-to-back series with the Panthers, as the Flyers will visit them on Oct. 10 in their home opener.

A third game is also confirmed for the Orange and Black, as they visit the defending Eastern Conference champion Tampa Bay Lightning in their home opener on Oct. 8.
The full 2015-16 season schedule was released on Thursday morning.
Some of the highlights include a visit from the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks on Oct. 14, two visits from the Boston Bruins in January, five total games against the New York Rangers and four against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Flyers host the Rangers on Oct. 24, Jan. 16 and Feb. 6. The season series will conclude in New York on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14.
The Flyers do not face the arch-rival Penguins until the new year with a trip to Pittsburgh on Jan. 21. The Flyers will host the Penguins on March 19 with the final two games of the season series coming on April 3 in Pittsburgh and in the final game of the season on April 9 in Philadelphia.
