The trade deadline has come and gone, and while the Flyers didn't sell off as many assets as many of us expected, they were still fairly active on deadline day.

For the most part, the Flyers didn't throw the baby out with the bathwater, and look the same — aside from the addition of Valtteri Filppula and subtraction of Mark Streit. They welcome a Florida Panthers team to town that has been active in their own right, by bringing in Thomas Vanek from Detroit and a pair of prospects from New Jersey and Tampa Bay.

The puck will drop at 7 p.m., and will wrap up the Flyers-Panthers season series.

Wayne Simmonds got the Flyers started with a pair of goals in Tuesday's 4-0 win against Colorado, and came close to a hat trick in the first period. With goals in three of his last five games, look for him to keep providing a spark.

He's only been in the lineup for a little under a month, but the prolific Jonathan Huberdeau is catching up in a big way for the Panthers. He's got four goals and 11 points in the 11 games he's suited up in since returning from Achilles surgery, including assists in each of his last three games.

Steve Mason makes his second-consecutive start for the Flyers, after saving all 33 shots he faced on Tuesday for his second shutout of the season and 13th as a Flyer.

Roberto Luongo figures to start for the Panthers. Though he's been struggling a bit lately, he made 23 saves on 25 shots in the Panthers' last game — a 3-2 win against Carolina.
