With under two days until free agency begins, the Flyers managed to keep one of their players around for a little while longer.
Jordan Weal has re-signed with the Flyers on a two-year deal, according to TSN's Darren Dreger. It is a $3.5 million deal, an average annual value of $1.75 million.
Weal played in 23 games last season, scoring eight goals and four assists for 12 points. Weal has played 37 games in the NHL.
The 25-year-old was acquired in a deal in the trade that sent Vincent Lecavalier and Luke Schenn to Los Angeles. Weal had experienced tremendous AHL success before his call-up to the Flyers.
