After signing forward Nick Cousins on Thursday, the Flyers technically had three restricted free agents left to sign. The two notable free agents were Brayden Schenn and Brandon Manning.

Also on that list was forward Petr Straka, who turned in a solid season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the AHL in 2015-16.

Straka re-signed with the Flyers on Friday, agreeing to a one-year deal according to GM Ron Hextall.

Straka scored 19 goals and added 18 assists for 37 points in 64 games with the Phantoms last season.

The 24-year-old was a second-round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2010 NHL Draft. He signed as a free agent with the Flyers in 2013 and has remained in the organization ever since.

During the 2014-15 season, Straka made his NHL debut, playing in three games with the Flyers. He picked up two assists over the three games.
