In the wake of a three-game losing streak, there was speculation that the Flyers would look to bring someone up from the Phantoms. Now, they have.
The Flyers recalled Chris Conner from the Phantoms on Sunday. Conner will join the team in time for Monday's game in Vancouver.
Conner had four goals and four assists in eight games with the Phantoms, ranking among the team leaders. The 31-year-old winger has played 180 games in the NHL over his career, and spent most of last season with the Hershey Bears. He scored 19 goals and had 52 points in 61 games.
Conner is getting the call-up after Pierre-Edouard Bellemare was placed on IR with a lower-body injury that will keep him out of the lineup for at least two weeks.
In Lehigh Valley, the Phantoms selected Kevin Sundher from Reading to take Conner's spot on the roster.
The Flyers are currently on a five-game road trip that will take them across Canada for the duration of the week.
